doodles and thumbnails
The intention for this site is to keep a record and to have a conversation about the process of doodling. Everyone does it. sitting in an office and taking notes during a meeting, little images begin to appear in the margins. Students cover books, notebooks, and papers with a variety of images and words. Often the doodles are done mindlessly,
sometimes as a way to eliminate boredom.
An artist may doodle or create small sketches (thumbnails) to develop ideas.
I certainly make lots of marks and words in in my journals, some that become full blown art, some that stimulate new ideas, and some that go nowhere. I also create small intricate images on any spare piece of paper i can find. I wonder how many of us do this.
My question:
Do you doodle?
If you do would you like to share your words or images?
